$1M Tourney Semi-Finals, Crying Fist Versus Fearless Guys Added To ROAD FC 46

ROAD FC 46 will go down in Seoul, South Korea at the JangChung Arena on March 10, 2018.

On top of the main event which pits openweight champion “Mighty Mo” against Hyun-Man Myung, ROAD Fighting Championship bolstered the line-up by adding the $1 Million Lightweight Tournament Semi-Finals and the “Crying Fist” versus “Fearless Guys” reality show collision course.

The semifinalists — Ronys Torres, Shamil Zavurov, Kota Shimoishi, Mansour Barnaoui — really have turned the tourney into a global affair. South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa will all be represented in the final four and the level of talent these individuals possess should create incredible finishes.

Brazilian warhorse Torres will face Russian grinder Zafurov in the co-main event of the night. While Torres has submitted every single opponent in the first round so far, Zafurov has blanketed his foes to a unanimous decision every single outing.

This will be a battle on the mat and whoever can keep top position to implement their game should cruise into the finals with extreme confidence.

On the other side of the bracket, Japanese wildcard Shimoishi takes on French-Tunisian strangler Barnaoui. This matchup is very similar to the first in that both fighters like to finish on the ground with an array of submissions. Shimoishi should have a slight edge on the feet but underestimating Barnaoui could prove costly since he does extend some vicious knees in the clinch.

The winners will move onto the finals sometime later this year to determine whom will get a chance at the exorbitant amount of cash and the lightweight crown.

In addition to these great matchups, the organization put together a reality show extravaganza with the fighters from “Crying Fist” and “Fearless Guys” clashing for television dominance.

In an openweight bout, “Yakuza” Jae-Hoon Kim will introduce kickboxer Jae-Hyeok Heo to the ROAD FC cage. Taekwondo veteran Young-Ki Hong faces newcomer Tae-Woong Eom in a catchweight affair. Last but not least, big mouth Hyun-Geun Park takes on bantamweight debutant Jin-Hyuk Moon.

Other key fights to look out for: middleweights Nae-Chul Kim and In-Su Hwang, featherweight rematch between Se-Young Kim and Jung-Young Lee, and a high-flying bantamweight contest pitting Chinese finisher Heili Alateng against crisp striking prospect Ik-Hwan Jang.

ROAD Fighting Championship seems to have changed their approach in the new year by lessening the number of events and upping the quality of fights which is great for all parties involved.
