135: The main event contest at 300 Sparta MMA 26 featured Tapology #1 ranked Peruvian bantamweight Daniel Marcos (10-0, #246 World) in action against one of the toughest opponents of his young career, Minas Gerais Brazil regional talent Gabriel Pimenta (7-3). Every one of Pimenta’s career wins have come by finish, with all the losses by decision; that trend continued on this evening as Marcos used superior wrestling and positional control to dominate a bout that graded out as a grappling contest. The 25 year old “Soncora” remained undefeated dating back to his perfect amateur career. With three straight main event victories over regional foes, Marcos has set himself up for an international opportunity whenever he decides it’s time to take his well-rounded skillset outside his native Peru.
