Date – June 1st, 2018 | Promotion – LFA 41 | Method – Submission (Guillotine), Round 2 | Opponent – Bobby Lee (8-1)
Mota isn’t very technical or quick and his cardio wears a bit but his pressure and volume striking are what breaks his opponents. Not much power, but he throws constantly as well as being very aggressive at times and is at his best against the fence where he is strong. By the fence, he has good knees, and can dirty box. Mota has effective wrestling but his ground and pound is where he is best with the number of strikes he throws. Mota has beat decent competition like former Pride/UFC start Akihiro Gono and beat a top prospect in Bobby Lee handling him pretty well. It wouldn’t be a mistake at all holding back on Mota and let him possibly get an LFA title shot in the future but either way he looks to have a bright future.

Here is a highlight clip from his fight in May.

Daniel “Soncora” Marcos

Date – June 15th, 2018 | Promotion – 300 Sparta 26 | Method – Decision (Unanimous) | Opponent – Gabriel Pimenta (7-2)
Marcos is one of the best prospects out of Peru with an impressive record over some decent regional competition. Marcos is an aggressive fighter who will move forward and throw volume. Marcos doesn’t have the power but he will let his hands go and throws a lot of heavy leg kicks. His wrestling is also very good where he has good ground and pound. Being in the country of Peru usually the competition isn’t so stiff but Marcos has beat opponents with a combined record of 42-21.

Andre “Mr. Excitement” Ewell

Date – June 15th, 2018 | Promotion – CES 50 | Method – Submission (D’arce Choke), Round 3 | Opponent – Dinis Paiva (11-7)
Ewell quietly burst onto the scene on March 23rd of this year for LFA 36 where he knocked out Trent Meaux in the first round. Ewell is 8-1 in his last nine fights with his only loss coming to top prospect Patrick Mix but he does hold a third round rear-naked choke against former UFC fighter Willie Gates. Ewell is a technical fighter with slick submissions with some charisma as well that would have any big promotion luck to have him. This month he beat CES veteran Dinis Paiva who was on a four-fight win streak and as both shared the cage and had a fantastic fight, Ewell got the D’arce Choke in round 3.

Jared “Nite Train” Gooden

Date – June 22nd, 2018 | Promotion – NFC 108 | Method – Knockout (Flying Knee), Round 3 | Opponent -Ladarious Jackson (6-5)

Gooden is an excellent welterweight prospect who has been tearing up the regional scene here lately as he is on a four-fight win streak. Gooden is 5-1 in his last six fights with his loss coming to top prospect Julien Williams and he does have a win over WEC/TUF 14 veteran Micah Miller. Gooden has some holes he still needs to work on but he is still improving and still has an impressive 11-2 record. Gooden is well-rounded with good wrestling, striking, and is athletic. It would be fine to see Gooden take a few more fights in a bigger regional promotion like LFA but I still think he would be a great signing for someone like bellator and maybe the UFC.

Dalcha “Champion” Lungiambula

Date – June 23rd, 2018 | Promotion – EFC 71 | Method – Decision (Split)| Opponent – Andrew van Zyl (16-3)
Dalcha is 32 but that’s still prospect age for the big guys. Dalcha is all explosion, his striking comes in a huge burst of energy lunging forward with bombs and his takedowns are the same, in a hard straight line but so strong and powerful he gets the fight to the mat. Dalcha has knockout power but he wants to be on the mat where he has nasty ground and pound and a pretty good submission game. August of 2016, Dalch won the EFC light-heavyweight title and with two successful title defenses, he took this last fight against EFC heavyweight champion. Dalcha was looking to be a two-division champion and that he did beating a very tough Andrew van Zyl by split decision.
