Alex Caceres vs. Chinese Debutant Wang Guan Rebooked for UFC Shanghai

This past June at UFC Fight Night: Singapore, Chinese prodigy Wang Guan (19-1-1, 0-0 UFC) was scheduled to make his UFC debut against veteran Alex Caceres (13-10 1 NC, 8-8 1NC).  An injury forced Guan out of the bout and further delayed his long awaited promotional debut.

Now, four months later, Guan and Caceres have once again been scheduled to face off.  The two combatants are finally hoping to get their hands on one another at UFC Fight Night: Shanghai, as first reported by The Fight Nation.

A member of American Top Team, Guan has nineteen wins under his belt and has not lost in over three years.  Caceres, on the other hand, has had an up and down past few years, going 4-5 since the start of 2014.  “Bruce Leeroy”, a veteran of The Ultimate Fighter, is coming off of a win at the aforementioned UFC Fight Night: Singapore against late-notice replacement Rolando Dy.

UFC Fight Night: Shanghai takes place Saturday, November 25th from the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai China.  The UFC’s debut in mainland China will air live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.  The card is currently headlined by former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva, as he battles top middleweight contender Kelvin Gastelum.
