Chris Birchler vs. Jim Crute Slated for July 24th Contender Series Episode

These two prospects will battle in front of Dana White, Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard in hope of a UFC contract on July 24th!

On Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 light heavyweights Chris “The Big Buck” Birchler (7-3 MMA) and Jim “The Brute” Crute (7-0 MMA) will square off on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. Crute announced this fight on his Facebook page.

Birchler trains out of AMA Fight Club. He fights out of Fairfield, New Jersey. He has fought for multiple organization including Maverick MMA, XCC, and CFFC. In four of his pro victories have came in the way of stoppage. In his last bout, he lost to former UFC fighter Matt Hamill via split decision in April. His last win was against XCC fighter Macrus Govan via first round submission in June of 2017. Birchler holds a 7 second amateur win KO against Luisio Barboza which you can see below.

Crute fights out of Melbourne, Australia. He has fought for Hex Fight Series through his pro MMA career. He has an undefeated pro record with four of his sevens wins coming via finish. In his most recent bout, he finished Hex Fight Series fighter Doo Hwan Kim via unanimous decision in March. You can see his slick submission victory over Ben Kelleher below.
