EXCLUSIVE: Darko Stosic To Make UFC Debut Against Jeremy Kimball in Hamburg

Serbian light heavyweight prospect to make promotional debut against three fight UFC veteran.

Late last year, the UFC signed top Serbian prospect Darko Stosic (12-1, 0-0 UFC) to a multi-fight contract.  As months passed, the 26-year-old light heavyweight remained fight-less.  Fight-less he is no more.  Sources close to the situation have confirmed with MMA Today that Stosic will make his UFC debut in Hamburg, Germany against Jeremy Kimball (15-7, 1-2 UFC).

Stosic is currently ranked by Tapology as the top 205lb prospect in the Europe Balkans (Croatia, Greece, and Romania).  The heavy-handed big man has won eight straight fights, including back to back wins over notable veteran Dion Staring.  He has not competed since this past September, when he defeated Tomasz Czerwiński by knockout.

His opponent, Jeremy “Grizzly” Kimball is a “do or die” fighter thus far in his tenure with the UFC.  All three of his bouts under the UFC banner have ended via first round finish.  In his lone UFC victory, Kimball defeated Josh Stansbury by an unusual strike he deemed afterwards as “the donkey kong punch.”  The Burlington, Vermont native will look to get back on track on July 22nd.
