EXCLUSIVE: Aaron Pico To Return at Bellator 192 in Inglewood; Opponent TBA
Bellator MMA featherweight prodigy Aaron Pico (1-1, 1-1 Bellator)finally has a date for his next assignment. Sources close to the situation have confirmed to MMA Today that the 21-year-old will be competing at in January at Bellator 192 in Inglewood, California. Pico had told ESPN‘s Brett Okamoto that he was hoping to compete on the Bellator 192 card back in September.
While MMA Today has confirmed that he has signed a bout contract, an opponent has not been confirmed at this time. A source hinted to MMA Today that the combatant standing across the cage on January 20th will be a fighter from outside of the organization.
After dropping his professional MMA debut to Zach Freeman at Bellator: NYC, Pico made his sophomore appearence at Bellator 183 in September. Pico rebounded, picking up his first professional win with a crushing highlight reel knockout of Justin Linn. He’ll look to break the .500 mark in his bout on January 20th.
Bellator 192 takes place Saturday, January 20th from “The Forum” in Inglewood, California. will air live and free on the Paramount Network in the United States. The card is currently expected to be headlined by former UFC welterweight title challenger Rory MacDonald, as he takes on current Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima. A bout between former Bellator MMA Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler and rising start Goiti Yamauchi is also scheduled to take place at Bellator 192.
