Exclusive: Joanne Calderwood out–Jessy Rose-Clark steps in to take on Bec Rawlings
Joanne Calderwood is forced off the UFC Sydney card due to undisclosed reasons Austrailian MMA sources confirm to MMA Today. However, the UFC will bring in a newcomer, Australia’s own Jessy Rose-Clark, who has competed for both Titan FC and Invicta FC.
Jessy Rose-Clark will be taking on UFC veteran, Bec Rawlings. Rawlings is 2-3 in the UFC and finds herself on a 2 fight skid currently. This will be the first fight at Flyweight for Rawlings in nearly 5 years, dating back to Invicta FC 5 where she beat Jasinka Cive by first-round armbar.
Jessy Rose-Clark herself is also making an appearance at Flyweight, but for her, this will be her first time attempting the 125 pound mark. Although Jessy was preparing for a fight December 8th, to take on former Invicta 125lb Champ Vanessa Porto at Invicta FC 26. Jessy was in focus to make the weight but now she has to do it in a month sooner than expected.
Watch these two square off November 18th, Qudos Bank Arena, in Sydney, Austrailia. The card is headlined by surging Polish star and #8 ranked Heavyweight, Marcin Tybura who will take on ex UFC Heavyweight champion and #2 ranked, Fabricio Werdum.
