EXCLUSIVE: Juan Adams vs. Shawn Teed Slated for Contender Series on July 31st

Season 2 of Contender Series just got another huge matchup.  Huge not only in implications, but in actual size of the athletes as well!

AXS TV and Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) veteran Juan Adams will look to move to 4-0 in his professional record. Adams the Houston, Texas native who trains with Paradigm Training Center but will also be cross training with Team Elevation.

With only a few years experience, Adams took his very first fight in September of 2016.  Now still only three fights into his professional career, Adams has run through all his opponents and has made a name for himself on the regional scene.  A monster at 6’5″ and usually pushing the heavyweight limit of 265 pounds, Adams is a freakishly athletic fighter.

Sources confirm to MMA Today, Juan Adams will compete in front of Dana White, Sean Shelby, and Mick Maynard in the TUF Gym in Las Vegas on the very last episode of the American-based portion on July 31st.  On the other side across from him will be standing Shawn Teed.

Teed bring a 5-1 professional record to the cage with only one loss to his name being against the former Cage Fury Fighting Championship (CFFC) heavyweight champion and last year contender series alum and now UFC-fighter Azunna Anyanwu.

The Ricardo Almeida Jiu-Jitsu product, Teed is on a current two-fight winning streak, with a 100% finish rate.

With the UFC always in need of new blood in the heavyweight division, both of these guys could very well be stepping into the UFC octagon next with this win.
