M-1 Challenge 86 Results, Recap and Clips: Dalgiev KOs Buchinger, Wins FW Gold

M-1 Challenge put on its 86th event in Ingushetia, Russia on Friday. The card was filled with finishes from top to bottom, with only one fight going the distance. The main event featured longtime European standout Ivan Buchinger defending his featherweight belt against Ingushetia-native Khamzat Dalgiev. Further down the card, UFC veteran Chris Kelades made his M-1 debut.

Khamzat Dalgiev (9-1) def. Ivan Buchinger (32-5)

(T/KO via punches in RD1)

Both fighters started off aggressively and exchanged several telling blows. Buchinger floored Dalgiev with a big overhand right. Dalgiev, however, quickly got his wits back about him and landed a takedown straight after getting knocked down. From there Dalgiev was able to recover and when Buchinger attempted to get up, Dalgiev blasted him with punches which knocked the champion out.
