MTK MMA strengthen stable with colossal 57 signing haul

In a shock announcement, MTK announced the signing of 57 MMA fighters to be trained in their new gym in Brazil. The news comes immediately after their debut MTK MMA show at the Indigo at the O2 Arena.

Perhaps the most surprising element of the announcement is the caliber of fighter that MTK are already targeting. Prior to the MTK MMA inception, it was Darren Till that was the sole name under the banner.

However, MTK is looking to take the MMA game by storm and this news will do no harm to their reputation. The most high profile names on the list consist of former Bellator MMA veterans in the form of Maiquel Falcao and Rafael Silva. Also signed are current UFC athletes Felipe SilvaViviane Pereira and former UFC athletes Glaico Franca and Alberto Uda.

British talent Mike Grundy is another name that has been signed by MTK and the move will undoubtedly spur him on in his goal to reach the UFC.

As revealed in the official news from MTK, head of international business development Marcelo Brigadeiro quoted the following:

“There is no doubt that signing 57 fighters all at once is a big move. Once again, it’s an emphatic example of how committed MTK Global is to taking over in MMA.

It’s been a long road to selecting this large group of endlessly talented fighters but we’re so proud to officially announce that we’ve got there.

We have veterans of the highest caliber and also younger stars with some of the best professional records on the planet. The spectrum of age and experience is wide but one thing binds them together – talent.”

With the staggering success of Darren Till who headlines Liverpool’s first UFC event, there is a clear poster boy and motivator for the MTK stable of fighters.

Whether the fighters amount to the same success or not, remains to be seen. One thing is for sure – MTK means business.
