Paul Daley and Bellator MMA Agree to New Deal | MVP Next
Paul Daley and Scott Coker have nailed down a new contract and put aside their differences.
Per Brett Okamoto of ESPN Paul Daley has signed a new deal with Bellator MMA. Scott Coker texted him “We got the deal done — we get the big fights done!” That seems to be in reference to the ever elusive Paul Daley-Michael Page grudge match.
Daley (40-16-2) is reportedly now looking at the long-awaited matchup vs Michael Page, the young prospect who went viral for his highlight reel flying knee that literally caved in a man’s skull has already officially entered Bellator’s upcoming Welterweight Grand Prix. “Semtex” and MVP have been going at it for a while now on social media and even brawling at a Bellator event in London last year.
Daley’s manager Ali Abdelaziz talked to MMA Fighting and told them “in no uncertain terms that Page is the fight “Semtex” wants next.” That makes Daley the 10th and final entrant for Bellator’s 10-man welterweight tournament.
“This is who me and Paul want to fight, and who the fans want to see fight, “Abdelaziz told MMA Fighting. “I’m so honored to be part of this, and I have no doubt Paul to going to knock him the f*ck out.”
