Rumor: possible event in Rome organized by the Russian promotion ACB
The Absolute Championship Berkut is a Russian MMA promotion, based in Grozny, which in recent years has established itself as few did for several reasons: many events close to each other, high quality cards – especially for European standards – and the possibility of seeing their fights live for free on various streaming platforms.
The organization founded by Mairbek Khasiev, moreover, is famous for its “wandering” throughout the globe: in addition to Russia, events have been organized in England, Brazil, Scotland, Poland, Georgia, Holland, United States, Canada and Australia.
As you can see, Italy has not yet hosted one of its fight cards, but a recent post by Khasiev on Instagram seems to indicate the organization of an event in Rome.
Translation: Bargaining for an event in Italy is in full swing! The perseverance of the president of ACB Yaragi Gitaev and the approval of the Romans give us reason to believe that the event will be of the highest level! […]
Also on Twitter, rumors began to circulate about a possible arrival of the ACB in Italy, reiterated by Denis Geyko, a reporter for RT Sport News, who is very well informed about the internal dynamics of Russian MMA.

Other sources in Italy have confirmed to MMA-Today.com that the event should take place in the summer of 2018 and that it is looking for a place that can hold between 1500 and 3000 people.
The Italian division of MMA-Today has also tried to ask for confirmation to ACB itself, but no response has yet been received.
What is certain is that, if the rumors were to be true, 2018 will really be the turning point for Italian MMA.
