Teddy “Bear” Ash looks to keep the streak alive at Unified MMA 35

Teddy “Bear” Ash” (12-3) has been doing nothing– nothing, but making endless stamps on the map with continuous wins. Alongside personal hobbies like hunting in his spare time, a nickname like “Teddy Venison” suits.

Currently, Ash is on a 6 fight win streak, our own Joe McDonagh from MMA Today interviewed the middleweight ahead of his most recent bout on September 28th against Seth “Polish Pistola” Baczynski.  As the 2 fighters met inside the cage at Unified MMA 34, Baczynski previously had 10 fights inside the UFC, but that didn’t seem to phase Ash.

“It was a back and forth battle. That was a very tough fight and I finished him with 2 seconds left in the 5th round.”

The 28 year old explained after coming out victorious with a solid TKO. This fight seemed to test Ash in a way being able to show more skills inside the cage as the bout led on. Defeating yet another former UFC fighter is something else to hold inside his resume.

On December 7th for Unified MMA 35, Ash is returning to do what he does best but this time against Dominique “Nonstop Action-Packed” Steele (17-11). Even though Steele has also fought for the UFC, his success wasn’t as successful. Holding 4 losses and 1 win in the octagon, the back and forth changes of federations seems rapid.

Most “Nonstop Action-Packed” wins comes from unanimous decisions so it is clear he can go all rounds. However, the majority of losses come from TKO’s which our very own Teddy “Bear” is rather good at. As the 185 lb grinder known as a “well rounded heavy hitter” is looking to cement his own legacy. Not just as a middleweight, but even at 205 lb if that is where the opportunity sees fit. Ash expresses,

“I fight at 185 now, but have fought at 205 in the past.”

However Ash isn’t actively looking for the change. Being asked about UFC Contender Series could be ahead in the future, but at the moment this very talented fighter out of Canada continues getting the job done. Ash believes his skills would be good enough for the UFC to notice him when the time is right.

“Yea I would say UFC would be the end goal.”

The future is only looking bright for the young fighter. And today he will prove that no matter who would put in front of him once that octagon door closes, nothing else matters at that point.

Don’t miss out today for Unified MMA 35 which is taking place at the River Cree Resort & Casino in Alberta, Canada.
