Tom ‘Firekid’ Duquesnoy returns to face Cody Stamann at UFC 216
It looks as if UFC 216 has another fight confirmed as of this morning. Tom ‘Firekid’ Duquesnoy confirmed on his Instagram page that he will be facing off against Cody Stamann. This will be Duquesnoy’s second fight for the UFC. He previously defeated Patrick Williams by TKO in the second round of his debut at UFC on Fox 24. The Frenchman was named 2015 #1 featherweight prospect in the world. In 2016 and 2017 the #1 prospect worldwide in all of MMA.

He boasts a record of fifteen wins, one loss and one no contest. Dusquesnoy currently trains under Greg Jackson at Jackson Wink MMA. Before coming to the UFC he fought for BAMMA where he held the featherweight championship once and the bantamweight championship once, successfully defending the featherweight title three times and the bantamweight title once.
Cody Stamann will be an obstacle to overcome for Duquesnoy. He also has an impressive record of fifteen wins and one loss, six of those wins coming by way of knockout. He last fought on the UFC 213 card, where he made his UFC debut against Terrion Ware. He took Ware to a decision victory in that bout, which doubled as his Octagon debut, as he took Ware down multiple times to grind out the win.
