UFC 219 Adds Featherweight Duel With Myles Jury vs. Rick Glenn
Fresh off a dominating upset victory at UFC 215, Rick Glenn will get another chance to compete in the UFC before the end of the year. First reported by Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Journal, Glenn has been booked against the #14-ranked Myles Jury for UFC 219. The card is set for December 30, 2017 and will be held at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. It is unclear at this time where this fight will be placed on the card.

In his most recent bout, Glenn (20-4-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) put on perhaps his most impressive performance of his career to-date. A near three-to-one underdog, Glenn absolutely dominated top prospect Gavin Tucker en route to a lopsided unanimous decision win. The Milwaukee-native has recently relocated to Sacramento to train at Urijah Faber’s talented Team Alpha Male. Still only 28-years-old, Glenn will look to build momentum off the Tucker win, a performance so dominant that UFC President Dana White tweeted the this in reference to a lack of stoppage to save Tucker:
“The Gladiator” Glenn will face one of the toughest tests of his career in the 18-fight vet, Myles Jury (16-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC). Jury burst on the scene after two stints on The Ultimate Fighter series winning his first five UFC fights. He suffered back-to-back losses to Donald Cerrone and Charles Oliveira. The 28-year-old Jury was able to get back in the win column this past April when he finished Mike De La Torre via TKO in the first round at UFC 210. There was speculation that the Michigan-native Jury would be showcased on the upcoming UFC 218 card in Detroit. This booking with Glenn is now a confirmation that “Fury” will not be on that card.
With the addition, the UFC 219 card now includes:
#1 Dominick Cruz vs. #3 Jimmie Rivera
#7 Carlos Condit vs. #10 Neil Magny
#7 Cynthia Calvillo vs. #8 Carla Esparza
Louis Smolka vs. Matheus Nicolau
Gokhan Saki vs. Khalil Rountree, Jr.
#14 Myles Jury vs. Rick Glenn
