UFC Glendale Results: Alex Oliveira Chokes Carlos Condit Out in Second Round

Cowboy Alex Oliveira bounced back from his knockout loss to Yancy Medeiros in emphatic fashion when he submitted the returning Carlos Condit in the second round of the fight.

The first round saw Oliveira found early success, landing strikes of his own before taking Condit down and landing strikes from half-guard. Condit however, recovered and secured a takedown of his own, landing effective strikes from the top and winning the first round.

The second round saw Cowboy find a lot more success with an early takedown followed by vicious elbows and strikes, forcing Condit to take the fight to the floor once again. After elbows landed of his own, the fight again resumed on the feet.

The beginning of the end came when Oliveira sunk in a standing guillotine and despite the best efforts from Condit to defend it and survive, Cowboy persisted and got the tap from Condit.

The fight sees Cowboy improve to (19-5-1) and get back to winning ways. Oliveira will undoubtedly be ranked after claiming such a scalp.

Condit falls to 30-12 and now extends his losing streak to 4 in a row.
