Uriah Hall vs. Paulo Costa Targeted for UFC Fight Night 128 in Atlantic City
UFC veteran Uriah Hall is being mentioned as a potential opponent for surging middleweight contender Paulo Costa as the 185lb matchup is being targeted for UFC Fight Night 128 in Atlantic City, per Raphael Marino of Combate.
The Jamaican born athlete enjoyed a successful return to the cage and stopped the rot of three consecutive losses when he beat Poland’s Krzysztof Jotko in the second round. As for the Brazilian, he emphatically dispatched former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks in the second round to maintain his perfect record.
Hall is known for his striking capabilities and extraordinary reach. Having won the majority of his victories by way of knockout, the New Yorker should prove to be the test that Costa is in need of.
Costa, a striking specialist in his own right, is yet to be tested inside the cage, having won all his professional bouts inside the distance, only one of which not being a knockout. With the reach advantage and striking capabilities of ‘Prime Time’, this may be the test that “Borrachinha” has been looking for.
With Uriah Hall having fought far bigger names than Costa and boasting a lot more experience, particularly with the UFC, the matchup makes for an unpredictable one and will no doubt have martial art fans across the world salivating at the prospect.
