Welcome to the UFC: Jennifer Maia

Maia (15-4-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) would announce her signing on her Instagram page. At this time there is no word on an opponent or a date for her debut.

How will Jennifer Maia fare in the UFC:
Maia is right at home in the UFC as she is one of the best women’s flyweights currently. This signing was seen from a mile away as Maia has always been considered one of the best flyweights on the planet. Maia has a well-known background in Muay-Thai and a 3-0 professional boxing record. Maia is always in the face of her opponents, throwing more than one strike at a time and getting the clinch to leverage her muay-thai background. Maia is a decent grappler who can hold her own against many women in the division. Maia took a year layoff before her last bout against top prospect, Agnieszka Niedzwiedz and handled her pretty well. Once Maia gets back in the cage, she could instantly merit a shot at the UFC Flyweight Championship or more likely be just one single win away from an opportunity.
