Welcome to the UFC: Yaozong Hu
With the UFC heading to mainland China just later this week, the card suffered yet another lost bout as heavyweight James Mulheron would be flagged by USADA and pulled from the fight. @TheFightNation would officially announce the signing of Yaozong Hu (4-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who will step in and debut at UFC Fight Night: Shanghai November 25, 2017 against Cyril Asker (8-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC).

How I think Yaozong Hu does in the UFC:
Although footage on Yaozong is limited, it’s pretty clear Hu won’t last in the UFC. Hu has never even fought a good fighter as he’s been basically fighting at an amateur level. Hu seems to be a bit scrappy on the feet but lacks many fundamentals. The movement of Hu is very rudimentaru, his technique is quite out of whack, and he has no desire to keep his hands up. Now there is always hope that a new heavyweight will emerge on the scene as Francis N’Gannou has done but don’t expect that to happen here.
How I think Yaozong Hu matched up with Cyril Asker:
Asker is the perfect fighter for about any up-and-comer to make there debut against as he is susceptible to those who implement their gameplans first. Asker is at the bottom of the division as he has no real impressive wins to date. At this point, that is exactly what Hu might be. If Asker can close the distance, he is a pretty good wrestler and better once he’s on top but continues to struggle in every area on the feet. I would give the edge to Asker as he knows what it’s like to fight some good competition and has fought at a higher level.
Watch these two square off November 25 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China for UFC Fight Night 122 — UFC Shanghai. The card is headlined by the #2-ranked middleweight Michael Bisping taking on the young and hungry #8-ranked Kelvin Gastelum.
